I suppose Duane Michals' simple challenge best represents the continuing allure of photography for me. I remain fascinated by faces. What stories are reflected thereon, what secrets lie hidden thereby?

I'll never share Pablo Picasso's tongue-in-cheek fatalistic lamentation regarding the disappointments commiserate with photographic discovery and proficiency...I'll never attain a satisfactory level of accomplishment - I'll never become bored with the challenge of trying to capture that ever-elusive image that I see intuitively every time I look at a person...or anything for that matter. My ambitious creative stimulation stems from an unyielding obsession with trying to create Photographic Images that are evocative, emotional, unique, visually titillating, thought-provoking and, hopefully, memorable.
